He was a president of the Halifax Dartmouth Real Estate Board; former member of the City Club, Ashburn Golf Club and the Halifax Curling Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Robert, Halifax; daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Peter Corkum), Halifax; sister, Dorothy (Mrs. W.J. Carrell), Costigan, Me; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marguerite Balcom; daughter, Linda Francis; granddaughter, Kelly. Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, Oxford Street, Rev. John Boyd officiating. Donations may be made to Northwood Centre or F.B. Wickwire Trust Fund c/o Victoria General Hospital Foundation."1 |
