According to the 1861 census Harold and Margaret lived between the Wilmot Valley School and the Waugh farm. Harold had been a deputy-sherriff for Prince County, but in 1861 he was listed as a publican and farmer. Nothing further is known about them. It appears that they left Wilmot Valley by 1863, according to Lake's Topographical Map, perhaps to Richmond where Margaret died that same year.3 |
