Mr. Clark, who was 84 years of age, had been ill for but a comparatively short time and his removal from life leaves a sad void in the community where he had always lived. The deceased was born on the family homestead, his father being George Clark and his mother Margaret Crosby.
The late Mr. Ewen Clark was twice married; his first wife having been Rosara S. MacGregor, who predeceased him seventeen years ago. A few years ago he married Mrs. Sydney Vaughan of Roxbury, Mass., who was formerly Racheal Waugh of Wilmot, and who survives him. By his first marriage there were three sons: Heath, North Bedeque; Albert, Wilmot Valley, and Wyman at home; and four daughters: Mrs. Frank Yeo (Pearl) and Mrs. Major Moase (Muriel), both of St. Eleanors; Mrs. Robert Baker (Dora) of North Bedeque, and Mrs. Earl Schurman ("Bud") of Summerside; also a sister, Mrs. H. D. McEwen of Morell. Mrs. Jarvis Tanton, Summerside, is a niece.
A man of pleasing personality and possessed of a keen sense of humor, it was always a pleasure to converse with him, and he enjoyed the acquaintance and esteem of a great number of friends to whom his death leaves a feeling of genuine personal loss. To those bereaved sincere sympathy is extended."4,6 |
