Death*Janet McKay died on 11 March 1851, at age 32, in Wilmot Creek, Prince County, Prince Edward Island; Janet's death notice (in The Royal Gazette for Tuesday, March 25, 1851) gives her place of death as Wilmot Creek. Following her death the four children were dispersed among relatives and the widower Peter went to Shediac, New Brunswick, to manage a tavern-hotel for the widow Hanington.4
