Mrs. Dorthea Lauritzen, a well known resident of this city, passed away about 5 o'clock this morning at St. Francis hospital, where she had been making her home for the past year or more, death resulting from old age. Mrs. Lauritzen had long been a resident of Grand Island and for many years resided with her son, the late Silas Lauritzen, on East Sixth Street. following his death about a year ago, Mrs. Lauritzen removed to the St. Francis hospital, where she continued to make her home until her death. The deceased leaves to mourn her loss three daughters—Mrs. F. T. McTee (Frank J. McTee), of Omaha; Mrs. J. A. Walker (James Archibald Walker), of Lowell, Ariz., and Mrs. Edward Fuehrer (Arnold Furrer), of New York—and one son, Barney, who has not been heard from for many years and of whom it is not known whether or not he is alive.
