(Bride) Marriage*She married Albert Ewen Clark, son of Ewen Clark and Rosara Marjorie MacGregor.1 
Death*Ruth E. Durant died on 2 October 1923, in home, Wilmot Valley, Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada; Obituary: "A sad gloom was cast over the home of Mr. Albert E. Clark of Wilmot Valley on Tuesday the 2nd inst., when the Angel of Death called away his wife, Ruth Durant Clark. The late Mrs. Clark had been suffering for the past seven weeks with a severe attack of blood poisoning, and just when everything looked bright for her recovery she contracted congestion and passed away on Tuesday afternoon, at the early age of 28 years. The funeral service was held at the home of the deceased, the Rev. Mr. Ayers officiating. A large gathering of friends came to pay their last respects and the remains were taken to the Peoples' Cemetery at Kensington. Pallbearers were: Messrs. Robert Baker, Davis Moase, Frank Yeo, Heath Clark, J. Earle Schurman and Major Moase. She leaves besides a sorrowing husband, three small children: Audrey, Georgie and Ewen."2,1

Death*Catherine E. Durgan died on 26 March 1843, in New Brunswick; according to the cemetery transcription, Catherine was buried in the Merritt-Slipp Cemetery, Queens County, New Brunswick. On my last visit, in August 2007, I was not able to locate her tombstone.1,2

Death*He died on 10 September 1941, in Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington, U.S.A.; Obituary (Aberdeen Daily World, published 11 September 1941): David Oakman Durgan, 74, former Aberdeen policeman and bridge tender who was known to hundreds as "Dad" died last night at a Port Angeles hospital. He was taken ill Sunday night. Durgan was born in New Brunswick and came to Aberdeen 22 years ago after living at Chehalis about 10 years. He moved to Port Angeles Sunday with his daughter, Mrs Percy LaBreck. The family home here was at 1406 West Market street. Durgan was a policeman here for about 10 Years, serving as a traffic officer and desk sergeant. In later years he was tender of the Heron span was closed several months ago.??He was a widower, his wife having died 29 years ago, leaving him with five small children. Durgan received the nicknams "Dad" from the way in which he fathered his motherless family.55,255] Besides Mrs. Labreck, three other daughters survive, Mrs. Fern Carlson, of Eugene, Mrs. Walter Elgin, of Seattle, and Mrs. Nels Conradl, Of Ryderwood. Durgan also leaves eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Elerding chapel with Rev. T. T. Ove and Rev. Paul Shelley officiating. Concluding services will be at the family plot at Fern Hill cemetery.10,11
