Note*Augusta Lena (nee Johnson) and John Pearson were married on the 11th ofApril, 1884 and had seven children by this marriage, Augusta was theonly born to John and Anna Lena (nee Lovisa) Johnson, who immigrated fromSweden in 1881, locating at Jewel City, Kansas. Mr. Johnson died and isburied there. His widow and children moved to the Black Hills settling inSpearfish. In later years Mrs Johnson made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Pearson,passing away in 1900 at the age of seventy-seven years. She is buried inthe Pearson family cemetery just two years after the death of herdaughter. This account is stated in the book - 'Pioneers Of Crook County1876-1920', by Crook County Historical Society, Crook County, copyright1981, page 390.

He was married Dec 31, 1936 to Virginia McLean. He was a member of the Siloa Lutheran Church and served on the board of deacons & also was a member of the Ontonagon Aerie of Eagles.

Surviving besides his wife are 2 daughters, Nancy of Milwaukee & Candace at home & 1 sister, Mrs. Harry Stroud, Ontonagon, a son died in infancy.

Visitation at Allen Cane Funeral Home. Services held at Siloa Lutheran Church with Rev. Edward J. Carlson officiating.
Burial at the Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leroy Slocat, Emery Horne, Alfred Ostling, Clarence Cooley, Carl Lundquist & Lloyd Gordon."2
