Biographical Note* Went to public schools in So. Portland, Maine. Was in the Army during the 1st World War, achieved the rank of Corporal. He played Semi-ProSoftball, and in 1937 while playing for Burnham & Morrill (B&M BakedBeans) went to the World Series Championship in Chicago, played at Soldier Field, the games were played 4 teams at a time and around the clock to get all the teams in, but they were eliminated in the 2nd game. He was the Catcher, he was also the shortest (5'6'-5'8') and the oldest (44) player on the team. He later was an umpire in the semi pro softball league in Portland, Maine.
