Title*Thomas Hext received to the title of Thomas Hext, gentleman of Kingston in the parish of Stacerton, Devonshire. The Hext family arms were Ore, a tower (castle) with three battlements port open between 3 battle axes Sable.1
 
Marriage*He married Joane Fortescue, daughter of John Fortescue of Wimpstone and Joan Pruteston, between 1470 and 1475.1 
Death*Thomas Hext died circa 8 May 1497; A writ for an Inquisition post mortem on his estate was issued to the escheator of Devon. He is referred to as being deceased in the Inq.p.m. taken on his mother-in-law, Joan Fortescue's estate in 1501.1
