Lorraine Augusta D'Aigle1,2
F, #114680, b. 19 January 1912
Name-Com | Lorraine Augusta D'Aigle is commonly known as Lorraine D'Aigle.5 |
Birth* | She was born on 19 January 1912 in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, U.S.A. .2,1,3 |
| She was the daughter of Augustus D'Aigle and Rosemarie.3,4 |
(Daughter) Census HeadHousehold | Lorraine D'Aigle was enumerated on the census of 12 January 1920 in the household of Augustus D'Aigle, as a daughter, in Ray Precinct, Pinal County, Arizona, U.S.A. . Enumerated in the household of Augustus D'Aigle (age 42) were his wife Rosemarie (age 34) and their daughter Lorraine (age 7). Augustus was an electrician for an electrical company.4 |
(Daughter) Census HeadHousehold | Lorraine D'Aigle was enumerated on the census of 8 April 1930 in the household of Augustus D'Aigle, as a daughter, in Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, U.S.A. . Enumerated in the household of Augustus D'Aigle (age 46) were his wife Rosemarie (age 46) and their daughter Lorraine (age 18) and James M. Walker (age 20) as a lodger. Augustus was an electrician for the railroad. James Walker would 35 years later appear as a pall bearer at the funeral of Augustus D'Aigle.6 |
Marriage* | Lorraine Augusta D'Aigle married Fred Weatherspoon on 21 July 1931, in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, U.S.A. . Lorraine's maiden name was recorded on their marriage license and certificate as D'Agile, and Fred's as Witherspoon.7,2 |
(Second) Marriage* | Lorraine Augusta D'Aigle married second James Frank Billingsley between 1933 and 1937.8 |
(Wife) Census HeadHousehold | Lorraine D'Aigle was enumerated on the census of 20 April 1940 in the household of James Frank Billingsley, as his wife, in Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, U.S.A. . Enumerated in the household of Frank Billingsley (age 30) were his wife Lorraine (age 26) and their sons William (age 7) and Jon (age 1). William was recorded as an adopted son, from Lorraine's first marriage. Frank was an attendant at a service station.9 |
(Contact Person) Milit-Draft | Lorraine Augusta Billingsley was the contact person on the Draft Card of military service of James Frank Billingsley on 16 October 1940 in Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, U.S.A. .8 |
Occupation* | Lorraine Augusta D'Aigle was a piano player with the Ted Woodward Trio, also featuring Billy Bower on sax and Ted Woodward on drums in July 1953 in La Luna Room "Moon Room", Del Sol Hotel, Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, U.S.A. .10 |
(survivor) Death | She was a survivor of James Marvin Walker on 15 February 1969 in 3:35am, Parkview Baptist Hospital, Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, U.S.A. ; cause of death was "cerbral vascular accident, massive arterosclerosis, generalized arteriosclerosis heart". He was divorced at the time of his death. From his newspaper obituary, "survivors include two sisters, Lorraine Billingsley, of Yuma, and Jean Levine, of Malibu, Calif." Lorraine Billingsley was also recorded on the Death Certificate of James as being the informant, and his "sister". From extensive research the author has been unable to locate records that would authenticate the brother-sister relationship of James and Lorraine.11,12,13,14 |
U.S. Headstone Appl.* | Lorraine Augusta D'Aigle applied for a military headstone in Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, U.S.A. . The application for a military headstone was made by Lorraine (D'Aigle) Billingsley, recorded as a sister of James. This alledged relationship is a mystery. They had known each other for at least 39 years when James was a lodger in the household of Augustus D'Aigle, Lorraine's father. James was also a pallbearer at the funeral of Augustus D'Aigle, 35 years after the 1930 census. Obviously, there was a close relationship between James Marvin Walker and the D'Aigle family.15 |
Living* | She was living in 601 South Avenue C, Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, U.S.A. , in 1987.3 |

Note* | Anna Mary Dackman, in 1875 Erie County, N.Y. census, Jacob and Mary were living with son Martin J. Ruhlman and his family in West Seneca, N.Y. Anna Mary Dackman's death certificate (1899) says that she lived in the US for 50 years and 32 years in East Seneca in 1867. Jacob Ruhlman's Death Certificate say's he lived in both the US and Buffalo for 60 years, thus he would have arrived here in 1857. Did Jacob arrive here 10 years earlier and marry Mary Dackman afterward? Truman C. White's book fixes the coming of Jacob's father, Jacob Ferdinand Ruhlmann as 1847 with his children. (his son Jacob would have been 21.) They first settled in NYC and then moved to Erie Co., New York. Jacob's first wife was Catherine Wise. I, (JJR) doubt if Mary Dackman was married to Jacob Ruhlmann at that time. The cause of her death was Bronchitis. She is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ebenezer, Erie County, New York, U.S.A. next to Jacob Ruhlmann. Her medical information: Death Certificate says she died also from 'General Debility of old age.' |
Birth* | Anna Mary Dackman was born on 2 November 1812 in Germany .1 |
| She was the daughter of Henry Dackman. |
