Victoria Glennie1,2
F, #100357, b. 1843
Birth* | Victoria Glennie was born in 1843 in Amherst Point, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia .1,2 |
| She was the daughter of James Glennie and Rosanna.2 |
(Bride) Marriage* | Victoria Glennie married Christopher Richardson, son of John Providence Richardson and Catherine Sears, on 2 May 1877 in Fort Lawrence, Westmorland County, New Brunswick ; Christopher was widowed, Victoria was single.1,2 |
(Witness) Census HeadHousehold | Victoria Glennie was enumerated on the census of 1881 in the household of Christopher Richardson in Sackville, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada . Included in the household with Christopher (age 46) were his second wife Victoria Glennie (age 38), and children Ammi (age 20), Albert (age 18), Bessie (age 10) and Blanch (age 2). Also in the household were Mary Glennie (age 87) and Jane Glennie (age 35). MAry and Jane Glennie were both born in Nova Scotia, as was Victoria. Because of the closeness in age between Victoria and Jane, I assume that they are sisters. On Christopher and Victoria's marriage certificate the mother of Victoria was recorded as Rosanna Glennie. I assume that Mary Glennie in this census might be the second wife of Victoria's father James Glennie.3 |
(Witness) Census HeadHousehold | Victoria Glennie was enumerated on the census of 1 May 1891 in the household of Christopher Richardson in Sackville, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada . Included in the household with Christopher (age 57) were his wife Victoria Glennie (age 48), daughters Bessie (age 19) and Carlotta (age 11). Also in the household was M. Jane Glennie (age 43), lodger and teacher, thought to be Victoria's sister. Christopher was a farmer. The family religion was Baptist. They lived on a farm adjacent to Christopher's brother Herbert.4 |
