Obituary: "The death of Reginald Lloyd Dale of Central Hampstead occurred on March 18th, 2011 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. He was born January 30th, 1925 in Summer Hill, NB, he was the husband of the late Doris Louise (Palmer) Dale. Reg is survived by his daughter, Dianne Howe (Stan) of Geary, NB; his grandchildren, Julie Bennett (Paul) and Stephen Bonnar (Sheila Weeks-Bonnar); his great-grandchildren, Hayden and Seth, Caleb and Noah; his sisters-in-law, Greta Palmer, Nina Palmer and their families. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Doris and his son, Alfred Dale.
There will be no visitation by request, a funeral service will be held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Queenstown on Monday, March 21st, 2011 at 11:00 am with The Rev. Lisa Pacarynuk officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish, donations in memory of Reg may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Oromocto Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements."1

He leaves to mourn his wife, who was formerly Miss Dorothy Walsh, daughter of Rev. Chas. and Mrs. Walsh of Camden, also two children, Jarvis and Susan, besides a number of brothers and sisters. The funeral, which took place on Monday, Dec. 11 from his residence, was under the auspices of the Masonic Order of which the deceased was a member."3

Death*He died on 14 January 1903, at age 81, in home, New Annan, Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada; Obituary: "Another of the pioneers of our province has been called to his rest, Mr. James Dalziel, of New Annan, who passed away on the 14th inst., after a brief illness of congestion of the lungs, in the 82nd year of his age. Deceased emigrated from Scotland about 60 years ago, making the voyage in the ship Ellen Douglas and landing in Richibucto, N.B. Shortly afterwards he came to the Island in a schooner, landing at Charlottetown where he obtained employment as miller with the late Hon. George Coles. He had learned the milling business in Scotland and soon won an enviable reputation in his calling. He afterwards had charge of the Thompson mills, Suffolk, and later of the Jamieson (now Wright's) mills, New Annan, where he married Miss Jamieson and settled on the farm on which he lived until his death. Two sons, William and George, survive him, a daughter Mary and son Gordon having died several years ago. He was an upright and esteemed citizen and his death will be mourned by a large number of friends."3,6
