Birth*Frederick Dobson was born on 14 March 1885 in Botsford Parish, Baie Verte, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada; the informant for this Late Registration of Birth was his Colin Matheson, whose identity is not known at this writing. On his death certificate, his daughter, "Mrs. Edward Miller" recorded that Frederick was born in Port Elgin, Westmorland County.1,2 
He was the son of Minard Dobson and Emma Trenholm.1,2 
(Witness) Census HeadHouseholdFrederick Dobson was enumerated on the census of 25 April 1891 in the household of Stephen Trenholm in Westmorland Division, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada; included in the household with Stephen (age 54) were his wife Annie Allen (age 49), children, Jennie (age 23), Mae (age 17), Annie (age 15) and Glenna (age 5). There was also Frederic Dobson (age 6) as a lodger; he was actually a son of Emma eldest daughter of Stephen and Annie, and Minard Dobson.3
Death*Frederick Dobson died on 16 January 1951 in Tidnish Bridge, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada, at age 65; cause of death was "uremia" (kidney failure), due to "retrograde pyelonephritis", and "prostatism". This condition lasted from 3 November 1950 until his death, as declared by his physician. He had lived in Baie Verte all his life.2 
Burial*He was buried on 18 January 1951 in Tidnish (River Side), Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada.2
