Obituary: "The death of Laura Jane Cousins, aged 18, adopted daughter of Hon. Wm. and Mrs. Campbell, occurred at Sea View on the 22nd ult. She had been in feeble health for about a year when she was stricken with that dread destroyer consumption. All that hopeful and loving kindness could do failed to give the sufferer back her wonted health and vigor. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. W. Nichols, assisted by Rev. E. J. Rattee, Malpeque. The pallbearers which bore her body to St. Stephen's Cemetery, Irishtown, where her mother rests and where she expressed a desire to be buried, were: James H. Murphy, Wm. To the sorrowing father and brother in the far West and one brother in Park Corner, and to the large number of friends and relatives we tender our heartfelt sympathy."
