This would have been a boarding house, as there were twenty one other people listed as lodgers in the 1901 census, including William F. Hicks and his wife Theora A. Gibson, my 1st cousin, 3r. George was listed as being a clerk, and a Baptist.3

The officiating clergyman was James Crisp, from Sunny Brae, N.B. Jasper was living in Moncton, a bachelor, telegrapher and Methodist. Winnifred was living in Lakeville, N.B., a spinster and Methodist. Witnesses were Jasper's father James Walker, and Winnifred's brother, Duncan.4
