Note* | John L. Marsh, born 1758, in Fairfield, Conn. and was a Loyalist, whoreceived a grant of land in West Saint John. But moved up to Sheffield,Sunbury County, N. B. He married Sarah Estabrooks on July 15, 1790. Hesigned the covenant of the Baptist Church in Waterborough in Oct. 20,1800. He obtained land near Fredericton and he and his wife were amongthose dismissed from the Canning Church to form the Baptist Church inFredericton in 1813. Sarah died in Fredericton Jan. 2, 1844. Their children were: (1) Thomas Lothrop, b. Sept. 20, 1791: d. June 16, 1793 (2) Elizabeth, b. July 9, 1793, d. Jan 12, 1814 (3) Charles William, Oct 20, 1859, d May 7, 1867 (4) John Lothrop, b.
