Mr. Isaac Beer, his neighbour, was sent for to go to the house and assist in preparing Mr. Walker for burial. When Mr. Beer was called, he was sitting on the bed reading his Bible, but he at once dressed and went to Mr. Walker's. Here he was suddenly seized with a heart attack and was taken to the doctor's office across the street, where he passed away in less than an hour after Mr. Walker's death. The latter was a retired farmer and was between sixty and seventy years of age. Mr. Beer, who was several years his junior, was a tailor by trade and one of the leading residents of Crapaud, being a prominent member of the United Church and of the Masonic and Orange Orders. The passing of these two highly respected residents under such unusually sad circumstances is being greatly deplored by the people of Crapaud and vicinity.9,10
