Sherwood (age 10) and Electa Anna Sherwood (age 5), daughters of Lorana Bowen & Frank Sherwood.5

Census HeadHouseholdHe was head of the household in the census of 30 August 1860 in Machias, Cattaraugus County, New York, U.S.A.. There is some confusion about the line entries in this census. Yet, the entry for the value of the farm was recorded on the line for his father Elias. I am assuming that Elias was actually Head of Household.
