Birth*Jane Seymour was born in 1508.1 
She was the daughter of Sir John Seymour of Wiltshire and Margery Wentworth.2 
Marriage*Jane Seymour married King Henry Tudor VIII, son of Henry VII Tudor King of England and Elizabeth of York, on 30 May 1536. King Henry VIII was betrothed to Jane Seymour on 20 May 1536, the day after Anne Boleyn was executed, and married her 10 days later. Jane was never crowned, due to the plague in London where the coronation was to take place. Henry was also reluctant to have Jane proclaimed queen until she had provided him with a male heir.1 
Death*Jane Seymour died on 24 October 1537, in Hampton Court Palace, London, Middlesex, England, 51.403333,-0.337500; she died of postnatal complications twelve days following the birth of her only child, a son who reigned briefly as Edward VI.1
