In December 1965 Louise jumped from the Victoria wharf into 12 feet of water to save a drowning little girl named Julianna Boulter. For this heroic act she received the Carnegie Hero Commission Bronze Medal Award. She was also given the highest life-saving award given to Canadians, the Royal Canadian Humane Society Bronze Medal."1 |
