Death*Thelma Pearl McWilliams died on 13 December 2000, at age 91, in Rosewood Health Center, Independence, Jackson County, Missouri, U.S.A.; She was a violinist, a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Reorganized Church ofJesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was active in the RLDS Church, Central Congregation, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, as a church secretary, recorder, priest and violinist. She moved to the Groves in Independence in 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Wayne Turpen. Her survivors include three daughters, Thelma Rogene Turpen, Napa, California, Julia Ann Conway, Independence, and Patricia Louise Wiese, New Hope, Minnesota; twelve grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Jan. 13, 2001, in the community chape lat The Groves. The family suggests contributions to the RLDS Church orThe Groves or to the Kansas City Hospice, 3199 N.E. 83rd St., Suite 2300, Kansas City, MO. 64119. Arrangements under the direction of Speaks Suburban Chapel.
