Immigration*Thomas Blacklock immigrated to Prince Edward Island in 1821. He taught on the Island for a short time, and then moved to Little Shemogue, New Brunswick, having received a land grant in Fredericton. He taught for a few years in Fredericton, returning to Little Shemogue in 1827, where he built a log house beside the river which flowed through his land. He returned to Scotland in 1833 and brought his family to New Brunswick that same year. The vessel they travelled on landed at Richibucto, and from there they travelled by smaller vessel to Little Shemogue. They landed at Johnston's Point, and from there they followed the winding river until they reached the log cabin that Thomas had built for his family..2

Robert Sr. was a farmer.2
(Witness) Census HeadHouseholdAnna Eliza Blair was enumerated on the census of 1930 in the household of Robert Bruce Marchbank Sr. in Norwalk, Los Angeles County, California, U.S.A.; included in the household with Robert (age 65) were his wife Annie (age 60), children Robert (age 22), Walter (age 20) and Laura (age 16). Robert Sr. and Robert Jr. were general farmers, Walter was a farm labourer and Laura was a music teacher. There were two curious entries in this census return - in the column requiring country of origin, Robert declared that he was "Canada-French", and in the column for language spoken in the home before coming to the US, he declared "French", both of which are clearly not right.5
Death*Anna Eliza Blair died on 14 July 1960 in Artesia, Los Angeles County, California, U.S.A., at age 91.1
