Olander 'Ole' ' Giertz' Bjorklund's claim cabin was about a half mileeast and south of Oak Hill Number One School house. The school year of1911-1912 was taught by Neil Schuler from Spearfish, SD. About twomonths after school started, someone piled wood too close to the stoveand the schoolhouse burned down. School had to continue, so they usedOrlander Giertz' claim cabin for a schoolhouse. |
