Note*

While on the way home fro Murray, whither he had gone to purchasesupplies, among which was a bottle of carbolic acid to be used indoctoring horses for cuts. He had the bottle in his picket and when hereached back to adjust something on the wagon, the bottle broke. Hecalled for help and tried to wash the acid off in the irigation ditchthat ran near the road, but died before anything could be done for him.
