Mr. Spicer built a large house on Wolseley Avenue, which was for many years the home of Fred and Ada Ball, and is now (1980) occupied by Al and Gina Totten. Harold and his wife, the former Sadie Coy, are both deceased. Their son Bill was city clerk in Regina for some years and now (1980) has investments in oil. A plaque, which had been presented to the Grenfell Chamber of Commerce for being the most active in the Province representing a population of over 500 & under 2500 from the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, was displayed at a meeting of the Grenfell Chamber of Commerce at the Granite Hotel . Guest speaker on this occasion was Mr. Bill Spicer, who began his speech by taking a long trip down memory lane in Grenfell in the1920s. Bill is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Harold Spicer, & grew up in Grenfell. This account is stated in the book- 'Grit and Growth, the Story ofGrenfell', by Annie I.
