Mrs. Ervin J. Pollock of 44 Seaman Street died instantly when she was struck by the CN's Ocean limited around 4:15 Tuesday afternoon. She was hit by the front right side of the diesel's cow-catcher at one of the section man's car ramps and dragged 97 feet along the rail before the train was brought to a halt. Coroner Dr. J.A. Delaney said last night he would not call an inquest into the fatality. He said he was told the engineer blew the whistle warning horn twice but Mrs. Pollock apparently did not hear it as she made no attempt to move off the track. A CN spokesman said the train arrived at Moncton's CN station 50 minutes late as a result of the incident. The train was coming to Moncton enroute to Montreal as part of its regular daily Halifax to Montreal run.
