He moved to Wisconsin with his fatherand built his home west of the Burr schoolhouse. He married Sarah Markeewho was born 2 Feb 1842 and they were married 20 Dec 1860 (might havebeen 26th). To them 18 children were born of which the following grew tomaturity: (Some birth dates are missing so not sure of order) William Jr moved to Loon Lake, Wa. and located about 1.5 miles due eastof the original town in 1910 or 1911, where he raised his family. Thetwo story house still stands today on the north side of the road (per ArtStelting 1996 -- that is Clayton Arthur Stelting).

Biographical Note* 'In the fall of 1855 William Dedrick Stelting located in the Town of Forest, Vernon Co., [WI] with two of his sons, William and Frederick, and his two daughters, Mary and Salinda. They had come from Hendricks Co., Indiana, to begin life anew in the wilderness of timber that covered Forest Township. William Sr., the father, was born in German in 1796 and immigrated to the USA in 1838. He stopped in Pennsylvania and Maryland and finally settled in Indiana in 1839. In Indiana he lost his wife Elizabeth (she died). She was born in Germany in 1802 and died April 1854. Soon after her death he moved to Wisconsin, coming first to Dane Co. and then in the fall of 1855 to Forest Township. The father lived with his son, William Jr. until the time of his death in Feb. 1883.' This from Charlotte, via Clayton Arthur Stelting to Teresa Stelting He was married to Sophia Elizabeth ? in 1827 in Preussen, Germany. Sophia Elizabeth ? was born in 1802 in Germany. She died in Apr 1854 in Indiana. William Dedrick Stelting and Sophia Elizabeth ?

"She was united in marriage to Harold Glover. The couple made their home in Terril, where they raised their family.

"Following Harold's death, Eva married Waldo Dammann. The couple made their home in Round Lake, Minnesota.

"Eva was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Round Lake. She was also active in the Project Club, Circle, and the Woman's Club of Round Lake. Eva worked as an assembly worker at Berkley's in Spirit Lake, she also worked as a cook at Lake Center School.

"Eva passed away on July 21, 2006 at the Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park, IA at ninety-five years of age.
