Lewis taught school on the Island for two years. He graduated from McGill University, M.D., and C.M., in 1935 and took further studies at Montréal General Hospital, 1935-1937. He practiced in McMasterville, Québec, from 1937 to 1954. In 1954 he was appointed medical director of Canadian Industries Ltd, Montréal. Mildred received her R.N. in 1934 from Montréal General Hospital. She and Lewis lived in 1971, at 6 Waverley Rd., Pointe Claire, Québec.²
