| Note | This family moved from New Brunswick to Amity, Maine, in 1840. It is said that all the children went except Winslow who moved to Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Cavalier who lived at Sheffield, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, and Lillian who probably remained in New Brunswick. Jedediah inherited his father's farm at Amity. Florence Estabrooks said the Glasier family owned large tracts of land at Lincoln, Sunbury County, N.B., and were in the lumbering business there. When she married, Rebecca's parents gave her a small property there, and Hammond apparently worked in the Glasier lumber mills. So Glasier Estabrooks was probably born in Lincoln rather than in Queens County,N.B. .... George H. Hayward 01 Dec. 1998. Florence C. Estabrooks said Hammond , born near Gagetown, January 29,1783. Married Rebeckah Glasier, aunt of Stephen, John and Duncan Glasier. They lived for a time in Lincoln. In 1809 he applied for land at Little River, N. B. which apparently he got and farmed. He probably died there. |
