The 1860 Censuslists: George Estabrooks, 40, farmer, born in New Brunswick; Frances A.,33, wife, housekeeper, born in Maine; C.O., female, 16; George, 15;Jemima?, 12; female, 10; Horace, 8; Christiana, 7, Thomas, 6; __ret,male, 3; Almeda, 1; S?, 1 mo. Age 16 in 1860 for their first child suggests a birth date of about 1844,which relates well to the marriage date of 22 Feb 1844 for George andFrances, and George and Frances named a son Horace, as did HammondEstabrooks who presumably was George's brother. |
