Note* | Ben Arthur Weaver, a red headed Irishman and Lena Rosetta Wesco weremarried 02 April, 1902 in a small town near Waterloo, Black Hawk County,Iowa. They moved to Chandler, Murray County, Minnesota, where Lenastayed & Ben went west to find some land to raise a family. He foundwhat he was looking for about three miles south of the present town ofAladdin, Crook County, Wyoming. He homesteaded about 1903, and built asmall log house and dug a well. He got plenty of good water andtravelers started stopping to water their horses and get water forthemselves. Ben made several trips back and forth to Minnesota and in1904 he was ready to move his family to their new home. By this time they had three children; Esther, Lyle, and Clyde. Thechildren went to school in Aladdin, And then to Sundance, Crook County,Wyoming to high school. Two of the children were born at home, Archie,and Kenneth. The younger children went to school about a quarter of amile north of their house. As the children grew up they started to leave and go on their own. At this time, Ben's parentage is not known.
