Note*Ben Arthur Weaver, a red headed Irishman and Lena Rosetta Wesco weremarried 02 April, 1902 in a small town near Waterloo, Black Hawk County,Iowa. They moved to Chandler, Murray County, Minnesota, where Lenastayed & Ben went west to find some land to raise a family. He foundwhat he was looking for about three miles south of the present town ofAladdin, Crook County, Wyoming. He homesteaded about 1903, and built asmall log house and dug a well. He got plenty of good water andtravelers started stopping to water their horses and get water forthemselves. Ben made several trips back and forth to Minnesota and in1904 he was ready to move his family to their new home. By this time they had three children; Esther, Lyle, and Clyde. Thechildren went to school in Aladdin, And then to Sundance, Crook County,Wyoming to high school. Two of the children were born at home, Archie,and Kenneth. The younger children went to school about a quarter of amile north of their house. As the children grew up they started to leave and go on their own. At this time, Ben's parentage is not known. This account is found on pages 542, 543 in the book, 'Pioneers Of CrookCounty 1876-1920', by the Crook County Historical Society, Copyright 1981.

Death*Benjamin Weaver died in September 1754, at age 65, in Middletown, Newport County, Rhode Island; It is likely that he died Sept. 2, as the ledger of Dr. Charles Anthony Wigneron contains an account for attendance upon him Aug. 8, 16, 30, 31and Sept. 2 and his will was proved Sept. 16th. Benjamin Weaver was admitted a freeman of the town of Newport Oct. 7, 1713, and of the colony, May 4, 1714. His name appears in the list of freemen at the organization of the new town of Middletown Aug. 30, 1743. He was a farmer and a Quaker and lived near his father and brothers in the north-west part of Newport, being one of the petitioners, June 13, 1743, for the erection of a separate town.1
