| Death | Townsend Coffin Muncey died on 9 February 1904 in Cape Traverse, Prince County, Prince Edward Island, CanadaG.
Obituary: "Many of our readers will learn with sorrow of the death last Tuesday morning of Mr. T. C. Muncey, the well known and popular agent at Cape Traverse of the Anglo-American Telegraph Co. Mr. Muncey was 55 years of age. About thirty years ago he came to this province and entered the employ of the Anglo-American Telegraph Co., first at Kensington where he remained for a short time, and afterwards being placed in charge of the station at Cape Traverse, a position which he held and whose duties he performed satisfactorily and well until his death. He was sick but a few days of pneumonia and congestion of the lungs. The deceased was a popular official, of a genial, kind-hearted and wholesome disposition, which made him a general favorite.
He leaves to mourn a widow, daughter of the late Mr. Louis Muttart, three sons and three daughters. The sons are Frank C., formerly of the P.E.I.R., and now a travelling agent of the Canadian Northern; S. W., who served with one of the Canadian contingents in South Africa and now residing in Winnipeg, and Patrick at home. The daughters are Susan, Nina and Nancy. To the bereaved the Pioneer tenders deepest sympathy.".3
