INGHAM JARDINE HARDING

HARDING -- The death occurred at the Moncton City Hospital Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, of Ingham Jardine Harding of Kensington. Born in 1925, he was the son of the late J. Wesley and Andretta Harding.

He enlisted in the army in 1945 and served in Canada and in peacekeeping units in Egypt twice and in Germany before retiring after 27 years of service.

He worked for several years in Ontario, returning to Mulgrave, N.S., then moving to Kensington in 1991.

He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 55 years in Cambrai Branch No. 37, Port Hawkesbury Branch No. 43 and Lt. Col. E.W. Branch No. 9 in Kensington.

He received the Peacekeeping Medal at a ceremony in Charlottetown. He was an adherent of the Kensington United Church.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, being predeceased by brothers Dellis Roy and Elton Keith, sister Ethel Jean and step-mother Ena.

Left to mourn his passing are his sister-in-law Edna (late Keith) Harding of Mulgrave, N.S., nephew Ingham J. (Donna) Harding of Grand Prairie, Alta., and nieces Carolyn A. (Paul) Markham of Innerkin, Ont., Janet Harding of Carleton Place, Ont., and Eunice of Vancouver, B.C. Besides his family, his many friends will miss his presence among them.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home in Kensington for visitation Sunday from 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Monday at the Kensington United Church at 11 a.m.

Interment in the Summerfield United Church Cemetery.

If so desired, contributions may be made to the Summerfield United Church Cemetery Fund or Kensington Meals on Wheels.

Comrades of Branch No. 9 Kensington will hold a Legion service at the funeral home Sunday at 6:45 p.m. www.davisonfh.com.1
