Some forty years ago he was baptized upon a profession of his faith in Lord Jesus. Having removed to the district of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church (West. Co.) he became a member of that body and was chosen to officiate as one of its Deacons until his recent removal back to Gagetown. By his industry he accumulated valuable property to be inherited by his three surviving sons, one of whom is a medical practitioner in Boston, another an attorney-at-law in Fredericton and the other remains at home to take care of his widowed mother. The funeral takes place at the residence of the deceased on 5th Jan. when a sermon was preached by Rev. George Howard.2,4 |
