George and Jane lived down in Upper Gagetown, Queens County, New Brunswick. George was a very large fleshy man. Mary Jane (Estabrooks) was tall and slender. They were well-to-do and liberal. He was a deacon in the Baptist Church in Coytown. He and Mr. Currey were always quarreling about the 'Prohibitory Law' that was regarding whether cattle were to be allowed to run the roads or not. He was a very stubborn man, but friendly. He died before 1882. She died somewhat later. George William COY was Farmer. He married Mary Jane ESTABROOKS, daughter of John ESTABROOKS and Mary COY. He was Baptist. He was born circa 1816 in Upper Gagetown, Queens Co., NB. He was listed as the head of the household on the census of 1871 in Gagetown, Queens Co., NB; age 55 Mary Jane Estabrooks. b.
