Obituary: "Kensington Notes: The funeral of the late Alexander Cousins, Burlington, took place from his late residence last Wednesday afternoon, the house being filled to overflowing and a storm prevalent at the time forced the large number that had to stand outside to take shelter in the barn and outbuildings. Seldom was there ever a funeral as large in the community, people coming for miles to pay their last tribute of respect to an honorable and upright man. A profusion of flowers covered the casket. Rev. G. N. Somers conducted the services, assisted by Rev. B. C. Salter. The hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd," "Safe in The Arms of Jesus," and "Forever With The Lord."

He leaves to mourn besides his widow, three daughters: Mrs. Robert Hogg, (Jessie), Kelvin; Mrs. Roy MacArthur, (Verna) and Miss Ruby at home, one brother, William, Burlington; and two sisters, Mrs. Peter Warren, Clinton, and Mrs. Herbert Ramsay, Malpeque. The pallbearers were Messrs. Wm. Sudsbury, George Cousins, Robt. Crozier, George Crozier, Everett Cousins and Henry Crozier. Interment was in Spring Brooke Cemetery."2,4
