Obituary: "The death occurred in the late hours of Good Friday of Mr. Alexander Robbins of Central Bedeque at the age of 86 years. The late Mr. Robbins, familiarly known as Sandy, was one of the oldest residents of Bedeque, where he had lived since boyhood and in all those years none spoke ill of him. Industrious, dependable and honest to an unusual degree he lived at peace with his neighbors in a quiet contentment with his family. A good old man has gone to rest, leaving to miss the companionship which existed well over the half-century mark his widow and several children, one of whom, Emma, remained at home with her parents.

The funeral took place on Sunday from his late residence, service at the house being conducted by Rev. Ralph Barker, who was assisted by Rev. D. F. Fraser. The pallbearers were Messrs. Walter Hogg, Fred Moyse, Ralph Callbeck, Howard Schurman, Smith Sherrin and Rufus Bagnall."3,2
