Born at Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Verna (Bernard) Townsend. Survived by children Nancy (Keith) Small, Summerside; Brian (Lynne), Charlottetown; George (Sharon), Baltic; Brenda (Jim) Fisher, Summerside; Bonnie (Larry) Rafuse, Summerside; by grandchildren Sarah, Nathan, Ashley, Nicole, Corissa, Stephanie, Caitlyn, Rebecca, Grace, CJ, Sasha, Lawson and Laura; sisters Frances Salsman, Kensington and Dorothy Bowman, Brampton, Ontario; a sister-in-law Joan (Leith) Stetson, Port Dover, Ontario; and by her aunt Margaret Crozier, Hamilton, P.E.I.. Predeceased by her husband Donald Beairsto.

Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Malpeque. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
