As for Benjamin Corey's wife, she was Ruth Tanner, born about 1802,probably in Madison Co., New York state, daughter of Stephen Tannerand Lois Babcock, who had married 3 March 1794 in Hopkinton, RI. Myancestor was Ruth's brother, John Babcock Tanner. As I mentioned,they were apparently part of a group who came to Crawford Co., PA, tocolonize the area for the Seventh Day Baptists.¹
