| Witness | She was enumerated on the census on 30 August 1860 in the household of Elias Bowen, Sr., in Machias, Cattaraugus County, New York, USAG. Yet, the entry for the value of the farm was recorded on the line for his father Elias. I am assuming that Elias was actually Head of Household.
