Cannon, a well known merchant of St. Eleanors. Mr. Cannon had for some weeks what was said to have been neuralgia of the chest or heart, but it was not until a very few days ago that a fatal termination was anticipated. He was for many years a clerk and bookkeeper with the late John Haszard of St. Eleanors, and for a number of years past he has been doing business as a dealer in oysters, flour, &c. The deceased possessed many good qualities, and his death in the prime of life will be much regretted by a very extensive circle of relatives and friends. To his bereaved widow and family we tender our sincere sympathies. The funeral will take place tomorrow (Friday) afternoon."5,11

given her young age of 35, Minnie might possibly have died as a result of giving birth to her son Jarvis Ambrose Compton.Obituary: "Mr. Stanley Compton, St. Eleanors, has the sincere sympathy of the community in the death of his wife, which occurred on Wednesday evening last after an illness of about three months. Deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. Thomas C. Cannon of St. Eleanors. She was an amiable and lovable woman, and her death in the prime of life will be sincerely mourned by a large circle of relatives and friends.

But in the home, where a husband and five young children are left to mourn the death of a much loved wife and mother, the loss is an irreparable one and the blank one that can never be filled. Five sisters: Mrs. R. H. Montgomery and Mrs. J. W. Craswell, St. Eleanors; Mrs. J. Porter and Mrs. T. Lawrence, Revelstoke, B.C.; Mrs. W. W. Baker, Summerside; one brother, Arthur, in Marlboro, Mass., and her step-mother at present visiting in Revelstoke, B.C., survive her. The funeral takes place this (Friday) afternoon at 2 o'clock."6,3
