| Name | Faith Williams was also known as Faith Sprague. |
| Principal 2 | She was a witness The wedding was performed by Rev. John Gurkey at the home of JehielWilliams in Lebannon, CT with Dyre Sprague and Faith Williams. |
| Note | In the Revolutionary War Pension Application for Dyer Sprague I findinformation put down about Faith Sprague(Williams) by one of her sons IraSprague. It is as follows. (e-mail, Norm Smith) Faith Williams was married by Rev. John Gurley in Lebanon, CT to DyerSprague. The wedding took place at her brother's (Jehiel Williams)house. Dyer Sprague was employed there also. After they were marriedthey moved to Washington, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. They hadseveral children. Apparently they moved to Dalton, MA where Faith diedafter Dyer. She died November 2, 1842 at the age of 78. She wasserviced and buried by the Dalton Congregational Church. From this I gather that she was born @@1764. She passed the surname ofWilliams down to her oldest or one of the oldest children (Lydia WilliamsSprague). From another Family Tree File I found her born 1754 and married1782 hence my variations. According to the Pension App. there was a lotof difficulty in finding the marriage record. I'm not sure if they everdid find it. |
