- Daniel Shreve's will, dated December 14, 1749, is the major documentlinking Benjamin, Daniel, James, John, and Joseph as brothers. Inaddition, the name 'Elizave Harll.' appears, a possible corruption of Elizabeth Hulls. All of the brothers appear in the same document. 'DANIEL Shreve of Truro Parish: BENJAMIN Shreve my house and plantationwith 249 a. in Truro Parish on Rockey Run only in case he relinkish hispart of a survey that is between BENJ. and myself to my br. JOHN Shreve and JOSEPH Shreve and assist them in clearing the same out ofthe Proprietors Office. If he agrees not, then I give 219 a. unto Brs.JOHN and JOSEPH together with other rights of land with cloathing, money.If Br. BENJ. Shreve dye without lawfull heir, then br.
