- Resided in New York, NY, Appoquinimink Hundred, DE, New Castle, DE. called youngest son in his father's will. He was apprenticed, Oct. 22,1696, to James Mills, Merchant, for seven years at New York, his brother,William Dyre, consenting, which indicates that James was then a minor. Hewas living Jan. 15, 1702-03, when he gave power of attorney to RichardHalliwell, of New Castle (Del.), witnessed by his brother William; James was then of NewYork. [Father's will, Sep.4,1690] To youngest son James about 1000 acres and 6 cows.
