- They lived in Littleton, Aroostook County, Maine and returned to Canada between the 12th of November, 1896 and the 29th of August, 1897. Lorna Burke believes James was an American, but have no proof of this. James was married before and had some children, Lorna believes his first wife was Phebe Prosser and they had a daughter, Eunice, who was brought up by a Rev. Turner and his wife. They moved to Nova Scotia from the Woodstock area and she believes she grew up in Nova Scotia. Lorna Burke found this information in a book from the Fredericton Public Library, titled, 'A Genealogy of the Turner Descendants. It said Eunice married and had a large family but didn't say who she married. Lorna believes it said she was born in 1880.
