- They lived at Farmington until1872 when they moved to Elkland where they lived 21 years until her death in 1893. Mrs. Adeline Hammond was a long-time member of the Presbyterian Church. She was an excellent housekeeper. She had an amiable disposition; her reign in the family was a reign of love - in her tongue was the law of kindness. -- Elkland Journal, July 6, 1893.
