My mother was going to school, your mother was your teacher. It’swhere my dad met her. Later my mother taught school, even after I wasborn, riding horseback to her school and leaving my brother Evert and mewith her sister. They built a little one room cabin and I was born in it. It stillstands today (Jan. 1983). A few years back I visited it and it lookedjust like I remembered it. Later they built a large log house. It burnedin 1947. When Evert and I were ready for high school, Dad sold the ranch andwe moved to Broadus, 50 miles away. We all went to high school there. This was in 1932.
