- John Arthur 'Jack' Parker was born 07 Mar 1926 in Sedro Wooley, SkagitCounty, Washington, U.S.A. to George and Alex Parker. He died 10 Mar1998 at his home in Bothell, King County, Washington, U.S.A. He was aresident of the Bothell area for 51 years. Jack was 72 years old. Hegraduated from Sedro Wolley High School in 1944 and served in the US ArmySignal Corps during World War II in the Pacific. In 1947 he married Emma Christine Nilson. They raised four childrentogether until her death in 1972. Mr. Parker was employed as a plumberin the Seattle area. Projects he worked on include many schools on theEastside and the Seattle Aquarium. He retired in 1986. Mr. Parker was a member of the National Plumbers andPipefitters Union and the American Legion Post #127. He was activelyinvolved in Youth Sports and other civic activities for many years, andserved as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Bothell. Jack's funeral service was held at St. Brendan's Catholic Church inBothell on March 14 at 11 A.M. Survivors included his sons Richard of Longview, WA. and James ofBothell; daughters Patricia McClintick of Kirkland and ChristineBraunwart of Othello; Brother David Parker of Clearlake, Skagit Countyand his companion for 22 years was Dolores Craig; and 13 grandchildren. Burial was at Holyrood Cemetery, Seattle, King County, Washington,U.S.A.
