- John Wiggins Fisher owned John Fisher Enterprises (Public Relations Firm) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In 1961, John went to Ottawa and became the Centennial Commissioner for Canada's 100th Birthday Party. John Wiggins Fisher was a folk historian, radio personality, an executive of the Canadian Tourism Association, a Newspaper Publisher (Northwest Publications in British Columbia) and was dubbed as 'Mr. Canada'. One of the many articles about John Wiggins Fisher was printed in Reader's Digest, December 1967 entitled, 'Meet Mr.Canada'. I have another typed speech of John Fisher's (directly obtained form John W. Fisher) that he did on the CBC in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in May of1980, regarding the ship 'Nora Wiggins' that was built by Nora's grandfather named after John's mother. A photocopy of the above article and speech can be obtained from:ksheehan@@infinity.net
