Augustus was an electrician for the railroad. James Walker would 35 years later appear as a pall bearer at the funeral of Augustus D'Aigle.9

DeathJames Marvin Walker died on 15 February 1969 in 3:35am; Parkview Baptist Hospital, Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, USAG. cause of death was "cerbral vascular accident, massive arterosclerosis, generalized arteriosclerosis heart". He was divorced at the time of his death. From his newspaper obituary, "survivors include two sisters, Lorraine Billingsley, of Yuma, and Jean Levine, of Malibu, Calif." Lorraine Billingsley was also recorded on the Death Certificate of James as being the informant, and his "sister". From extensive research the author has been unable to locate records that would authenticate the brother-sister relationship of James and Lorraine.16,17,4,18

Biographical Note

There are several instances where there is an alledged relationship between James M. Walker and Lorraine (D'Aigle) Billingsley. In all cases she claims to be his sister.

According to a letter written to her cousin, Adelaide Barbour, it appears that Janet died of cancer (dated December 19, 1962). She taught school at Margate, Prince Edward Island, in 1923 after graduating from Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She also attended Mt. Allison University, Sackville, New Brunswick, and McGill University (1938) in Montréal, Québec.1

Biographical NoteFred attended public school at Kensington and graduated from grade 10. Shortly afterward he obtained a position with a local banking firm. After persuasion by his brother Ingham and others, he decided to resume his education at Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown in 1929. He received his second year diploma in the spring of 1931. He then entered Dalhousie medical school in fall of 1931. Later, he transferred his studies to McGill University in Montréal from where he graduated in 1938. Dr. Fred began his medical practice in Saint John, New Brunswick in 1938. A year later he moved to practice at a hospital in St. John's, Newfoundland. In 1941 he moved to western Canada to practice at Weyburn Hospital in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.1
DeathDr. Frederick Ralph Jardine died on 11 September 1942, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada, 49.150729, -103.010165G. The day after his marriage Dr. Jardine took suddenly ill and was rushed to Estevan hospital. His wife, a registered nurse, remained at his bedside during his illness. Drs. Creighton and Inglis performed an operation for appendicitis. Complications developed during the operation and Drs. Campbell, MacDonald and Nelson of Weyburn were called for consultation. He died of what was later diagnosed as pancreatism, an incurable disease at the time. His uncle, Dr. John Jardine of Scott, Saskatchewan, was in contact with the doctors supervising and was preparing to journey to Estevan when the fatal news was received. His body was fittingly returned to his native province for burial. The day after his marriage Dr. Jardine took suddenly ill and was rushed to Estevan hospital.
